We carefully design travel programs for international groups, including university trips to Marrakech, college trips to Marrakech, and well-structured school trips to Marrakesh, allowing students to discover one of Morocco’s most fascinating cities while learning about its history, traditions, and daily life. During these guided journeys, students walk through the ancient medina, explore colorful souks filled with local crafts, visit historic palaces and gardens, and experience the lively atmosphere of famous squares and markets.

Our professionally organized student trips to Marrakesh go beyond simple sightseeing. Each itinerary is designed to create meaningful cultural exchanges and educational moments, where students can learn about Moroccan architecture, traditional cuisine, and the unique blend of Arab, Berber, and African influences that shape the country’s identity. In addition to exploring the city, our programs often include excursions to the Atlas Mountains, visits to authentic Berber villages, and cultural workshops that give students a deeper understanding of Moroccan heritage.

With experienced local guides, comfortable transportation, and carefully planned activities, our Marakech student tours provide a safe, engaging, and inspiring travel experience for both students and teachers. These journeys encourage learning outside the classroom while creating unforgettable memories, friendships, and a genuine connection with the culture and landscapes of Morocco.

Choose from flexible 3-day and 4-day trips leaving from Marrakech or Fes, and also start from Casablanca, Tangier, or Errachidia if your group prefers a closer departure. Each tour is planned with care, so you get the right mix of fun, safety, and learning. As a result, your educational tours to Morocco feel meaningful and stay with you long after you return home.

Day 1Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

Marrakech Student Trips starts early, leaving Marrakech as the city wakes up. First, the group heads into the High Atlas Mountains and crosses the well-known Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Along the way, students stop in Berber villages to see daily life in rural Morocco and learn about local customs.

Next comes a guided visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a key stop on many student cultural tours in Morocco. Students walk through the old kasbah, take in its 17th-century design, and hear how it connects to Morocco’s history and film scene. After that, the group visits a local cooperative (argan oil or pottery). Here, students can join workshops and learn about Moroccan handcrafts, women-led cooperatives, and practical approaches to sustainability.

Later in the day, the route continues through the Valley of Roses and small Berber hamlets. By evening, everyone arrives in the Dades Valley for an overnight stay in a traditional guesthouse. Dinner features Moroccan dishes, and the group has time to talk over the day’s cultural takeaways.

Overnight: Hotel/Riad in Dades Gorge

Included:

  • Dinner & breakfast
  • Driving distance: Approximately 353 km
  • Driving time: Approximately 6 hr 30 min

Day 2Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga → Camel Trek → Desert Camp

After breakfast, Marrakech Student Trips continues toward the Sahara. The first major stop is the Todgha Gorges, a striking canyon with tall limestone walls. It’s also a great setting for student eco-tours in Morocco, because groups can connect the landscape to geology, water, and nearby communities.

Then the drive continues to Merzouga, the entry point to the Erg Chebbi dunes. At sunset, students take a camel ride into the sand dunes for a classic desert experience that ties back to Morocco’s nomadic traditions. Once at the desert camp, the evening focuses on shared moments with local Berber hosts, including music, stories, and stargazing by the fire. With the clear night sky overhead, students also get a real feel for desert life, resource use, and basic astronomy.

Included:

  • Dinner, breakfast & camel trek
  • Driving distance: Approximately 270 km
  • Driving time: Approximately 5 hr 30 min

Day 3Merzouga → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech

The final day starts early to catch sunrise over the Sahara, one of the most memorable parts of a Morocco student desert tour. After breakfast, students return by camel, or by optional 4×4, and then begin the trip back to Marrakech.

On the way, the group travels through the Draa Valley, known for palm groves, kasbahs, and long-running irrigation systems that still support desert communities. Students stop in Rissani to see its traditional souks, and later pass through Ouarzazate. Here, the group can choose to visit the Atlas Film Studios for a closer look at Morocco’s role in international film production.

Finally, the route climbs back over the High Atlas Mountains and reaches Marrakech in the evening. The trip ends with a group reflection, where students share what they learned, what stood out most, and the cultural moments they’ll take home from this Morocco educational tour.

Included:

  • Breakfast
  • Driving distance: Approximately 500 km
  • Driving time: Approximately 8 hr 30 min
